Clinical Supervision in Northern San Diego County
Greetings. My name is Dr. Miranda and I have been a LCSW for more than 10 yrs. I have 25 years of
public service experience working in a variety of settings mostly in the fields
of child abuse, public child welfare, and domestic violence. I have a doctorate in public administration and previously served as a Sergeant in the Army Reserves. In my over 15 years
in public child welfare, I worked in a variety of programs from front-end emergency response investigations to back-end work (case management, family reunification, foster care, transition-aged youth). I have experience in supervising both MSW interns and ASW’s.
Currently, I
am an adjunct professor in a MSW program and I maintain a billingual (Spanish/English) private therapy practice. My goal in clinical supervision
to provide a safe space for interns to build confidence, gain knowledge,
practice skills, and develop ethical decision-making. It is also vitally
important to continuously incorporate self-care to avoid burnout
and vicarious traumatization in our complex field. I am currently only
offering individual clinical supervision for interns whose employers allow
outside supervision. I am working on developing future intern opportunities in
my practice and group supervision.
I offer in-person and videoconferencing supervision at reasonable rates for highly ethical and motivated ASW’s. Feel free to reach out to me with any
questions. Best of luck on your journey through the licensing and supervision
process. It is a journey well worth the effort.
