Description
Supervision is one of the biggest investments that you will make into your career. Having consistent, supportive, and educated support as you learn and increase your knowledge will help you provide the best you can to your clients as well as create long term skills for you to be able to consistently provide therapy while taking care of yourself.
I provide clinical supervision to LMSW and LGPC clinicians in Maryland. I have experience working with and supervising clinicians in settings where they work with high-risk clients, crisis management, and challenging populations. I am trained in DBT, CBT, and TF-CBT. I have worked in a variety of settings including substance use clinics, hospital settings, IOP agencies, and private practice.
Group supervision provides extra support for your clinical knowledge. It gives you a setting to have a supervisor providing support and clinical advice while also being supported by other clinicians in similar settings who are able to provide a variety of input and ideas. Validation and support from supervisors and peers can help during the busy, difficult, first few years in the field.
