Description
Since 1997 I’ve been helping people free themselves from painful cycles of addiction, trauma, anxiety & depression. Beginning in psychiatric and community mental health settings, I transitioned into private practice in 2007 and have been supervising MFT interns since 2009.
My greatest satisfaction comes from helping people blossom fully into who they are as clients and practitioners. To be of the greatest service to all, I pursue extensive training and walk my talk in day to day life. As we are the instruments of the work we do, I support the work I do in the office with a balanced lifestyle. It is this combination that I believe allows me to have a thriving full-time practice without having to participate in insurance panels in the SF Bay Area.
In addition to hundreds of hours of trainings offered through agencies, I gained a Substance Abuse Professional certification in 2007, became EMDR-certified and added supervisory training in 2009, did in-depth training with process addiction of gambling and completed Somatic Experiencing (SE) training in 2014.
SE impressed me so much that I volunteered as a teaching assistant from 2014-2019, and I am certified to offer sessions/consultations for credit to students in the training. To further my understanding, I went on to two post-advanced years of study in Co-regulating Touch and Somatic Resilience & Regulation, and I completed several master classes.
In 2020 I am continuing with NeuroAffective Touch (Aline LaPierre) and NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM, Larry Heller).
